My Pets My Received Gifts My Message Wall 03 Feb 2008 17:44 Hi Paula, I have just read your message and have heard of that complaint happening before too a rabbit, sadly there is no known real reason as to why such blockages occur, but it is normally very quick. Great news about the two kittens though and the fact that you got them through the Cats protection League,is wonderful..what a very worth while thing you have done and no,you are not replacing Chopper,I for one would have never have thought that but they will help you overcome your loss and will prove to be great spirit lifter for you too. Of course it would be nice for you to get another rabbit when you are ready but there is no rush and maybe oneday you'll be out somewhere and the rabbit will find you, when you are least expecting it...these things do have a tendency to happen at times and they say that fate move's in mysterious ways...and I firmly believe that. Thank you for sending me a message.....take great care now and we'll catch up again soon. Love & Hugs Mary x 31 Jan 2008 11:37 Oh....Paula, So sorry to hear about the cause of poor 'Chopper's' demise, what an awful thing to have happen, the only consolation (if there is any),is that he likely didn't suffer too much,as it happened so quick, kind of. Do they know what the blockage actually was ???ie: food or hay ??. Would you consider getting another bunny, oneday or just see how it goes ???. Hope today is treating you well...take care and speak soon. Love Mary x 30 Jan 2008 13:01 So very sorry to hear about your little bunny 'Chopper'...was he old or was it unexpected ???. No matter which of our animal's pass on,it is never easy and the grief is often so hard to bear...although time does heal the pain and we can then dwell on the happy times and moments that one shared together. Bye for now and take the greatest care.....keep smiling, Love Mary x P.S: Love your new piccie by the way and the jazzed up homepage. 30 Jan 2008 12:25 Hello Paula, Thank you for your message and how lovely to hear from you....that was some time that I wrote that message regarding Molly,I think I hadn't long joined up on the site. At least the vets and you know what is happening with her now and that's the main thing,I am presuming that she is on treatment for her thyroid and she is doing fine on it ??. Do keep me informed from time to time on how she goes and if you need any advice on perhaps treating her naturally in conjunction with the vets than do message me and we'll see what we can do,hopefully to encourage her fur to re-grow and feel a little better within herself generally. Take care and bye for now, Love Mary 25 Oct 2007 12:30 Hi Paula, Regarding your mum's dog and the 'Alopecia' there are a number of reasons why this could be happening as no doubt your vet has explained. Often such puzzling complaints that NO medication will help are linked to the digestive system, wether this be an actual disease/condition affecting the D.S or more commonly,an actual food intolerance/allergy. More & more dogs (and cats) are becoming food intolerant and the main offenders are 'Wheat/Gluten & Dairy'. Stress is also a common factor in skin/coat complaints and when we are under stress, the digestive system is upset naturally. There is excessive acid build up and a loss of natural flora from the intestinal lining and the entire digestive tract and as the Chinese firmly believe, the skin is our third kidney, what goes in must come out. It could be that a change of diet is called for, perhaps try either one of the James Wellbeloved complete dry or Skinners HyperAllergenic dog foods and avoid any product that contains either wheat & gluten, this will include dog biscuits & most treats but James Wellbeloved even do their own treat range now. If she is a stressed out dog,use Dorwest herbs Skullcap & Valerian tablets, dosage as on the tub - however if she is not stressed then try her on Dorwest herbs Keepers Mix & Kelp Seaweed tablets. If after about 4 weeks you still see no improvement, then I thouroughly recommend that you contact Kinesiotherapist Sue Czornenkyj on 01807 590303,who has successfully treated for over 25yrs both humans and animals with all sorts of complaints and nothing is too much of a challenge for her,she has worked on both me and my animals and I wouldn't be without her. Good luck,Paula and do keep us posted. 05 Sep 2007 19:38 im 7 weeks old in this photo, im 11 weeks old now and ready for my vaccinations, im very scared | My Human Friends 3 Friends You must log in to ask or accept friendship. |
