Hi there

I grew up on a farm in rural Oxfordshire. I had many pets Inc chickens, ducks, horses, cats, dogs etc.

I grew up with both working and companion dogs, I wanted to be a vet but unfortunately I was not academic enough to take that path.
I ended up as a florist and horticultlist.
I have been studying now for several months for my “Canine studies” certificate. I really enjoy it and will keep studying as time permits.

Im hoping to go on and study for a HND.

I am about to set up my own dog walking / sitting, micro chipping, behaviour and training business basically anything dog.
On the medical side I leave that to the vets.

I also am a volunteer for the RSPCA, I have gained a lot of experience with dogs and cat though this, and also I am now a qualified micro chipper.

IN the summer months you will often find us with our gazebo doing free micro chipping and I also give people advice on dog care and the law.

I presently own a fabulous Staffordshire bull terrier called Luna
I had her from when she was seven weeks old and she is most of the time a well behaved dog.

Luna also comes to work with me. We go to schools and youth groups… to discuss dog issues. How to approach a dog correctly and defiantly not to run and scream.
We also do socialisation with puppies… Luna loves doing work with me.

I would like her to become a PAT dog. I think she needs to learn some self control when her firsts meets people… she gets just a little over excited.

I am going to get more dogs… when we move from central London out in to the country… defiantly by 2012.

I am civil partnered to a great guy who supports me in my hopes and dreams and has been a great help in setting up my dog business.

I do have a website that is under construction (another hobby of mine) but the main page and contact me pages are up and running the rest of the site will be live on 30th March.

I offer free advice by e-mail / on telephone. The services I Charge for are dog walking / sitting. Behaviour and training. And a small fee for micro chipping to cover my costs.

Hi Mike
I am so sorry to read your sad news, there is nothing I can say that hasn't already been said, but being a pet owner of both cat and dog I can honestly say with hand on heart that your beautiful staffy Luna will help you through this, just like my cat [Backie now departed] did when I lost my dad and then my mum and my staffy Jake helped me through the loss of both my Brother-in-law and his wife just 8 weeks apart, they helped me to think of other things like their needs and would pull me out of that frame of mind you go to that pulls you down, and were a constant source of comfort when I just couldn't hold back the tears any longer,
you will never forget him but with time and the love of your Luna you will learn to live with the loss,
all my love to you both and my deepest sympathies

Michael, the following lines gave me comfort (and still do) when my mother died three and a half years ago. I hope they will comfort you now too as you grieve for Mark. Margaret

Though you can't see or touch me, I'll be near:
And if you listen with your heart you'll hear
All of my love around you, soft and clear.

Michael, I have just read your tragic news and my thoughts and sympathy go out to you in this shocking loss. Life is changed for you now but, however black and bleak you feel in the coming times, always remember that Mark's spirit will live on and be with you in ways that may well surprise you. I am glad that you have Luna and that Luna has you. Margaret
