My Interests
I run a small rabbit rescue in kent, please contact me regarding anything to do with bunnies. There are often rabbits here looking for new homes so please consider a rescue. The sanctuary is funded solely by myself so we are always in need of any help.
My Story.
I am at college Wednesday and Thursday and apart from that I spend every day with the bunnies. My degree covers everything and i am currently writing my last year project on the rabbit, its 7000 words (ish) and I would love for people to read it.

I started Daisies when i had some spare space at a farm i was managing and as soon as i got my own house i started it properly. I am hoping to really make something of it but am finding it really draining. I pay for everything out of my student loan and money from homing, but as you can imagine this is very little. I´m struggling to keep up with vet bills and I find admin work so difficult especially with my uni work too.

I think that with the right structure and support i could be a leading rescue. My ideal target in my current position is to home at least 3 rabbits a week. This would make things a little less uncomfortable. I really wanna become a problem behaviourist for all animals but i dont think i could ever let go of the sanctuary, I would love to just manage it and see all the bunnies find homes quickly.

I dont really wanna do much else but its getting to the make or break stage, sometimes i think i should stop persueing it so much and get a job, especially when no rabbits leave for a while. Just food and shavings get bloody expensive for up to 30 bunnies!

Recently I have had a bit of negative feedback, like saying I´m only for profit! A few said 30 pounds was too expensive, this frustrates me so much as they dont know how much I give in time and money.

Hello I was just wondering how the rescue is going at the moment? There seems to be a lot of unwanted piggy´s and rabbits down this way at the moment. Also we have just had 2 rescues close as they can no longer afford to keep going.

Hope all is well with you!

Good news!
I've got Dad up to the "We'll talk about it" stage.
Nagging REALLY works! As well as looking sad and commenting that Patch looks lonley.
One step closer to Bunny #2!

Nope, still havent convinced them:(
But AWW! So some of 'em are Lionhead crosses? (Sophie's litter)
Its my birthday next week though, so I'll try then. I REALLY think he could do with the company, plus I'm buying a new/bigger hutch with my birthday moneys anyway.

How do you find homes for all your rabbits. is it very difficult.?When I got Flossie she was only a baby, a man found her hopping about while walking his dog. I offered to take her to the local rescue centre and they had no room. They talked me in to keeping her and I"ve never looked back. Our local rescue centre has got so many rabbits at the moment, it must be so hard for you to find good homes. It is an amazing job you do.
