i am a guide dog owner
i have a golden retriever called fern
she is my guide dog she is 8 years old
Fern has now retired
and i have a black Labrador she is my retired guide dog she is 9 years old

i have a black Labrador witch was my guide dog as well but she retired at a very young age due to being attacked by a American pitbull terrier that was purposely set on her by some druggies who thought it be fun to set it on her due to that she had to have retraining
because she was being unpredictable round other dogs even guide dogs
after 2 months of trying to help her overcome her fear with retraing it was decided that it wasn´t working & she retired at 3 1/2 years old xxxxxxx

i have 2 basset hounds called June & gorge
& they are the most nuttiest 2 dogs you could ever meet
& someone once said to me that bassets are so very stubborn well they wasn´t wrong
i would not advise having a basset as your first time dog unless you ve grown up with them.
i think you need to be so strong willed when you have basset hounds !!
they get on great with fern & ramble
we have found out that Gorge is a lover of the
snow once he get outside in it there is no getting him in unless you wave a sausage his way lol
