Hiya!

Glad to hear Tipsy got on ok at the vets, was this her injections?
I am sure you will get some sort of routine going soon and she will settle down.

When I got Tia about 5 weeks ago she was already 5 months old but had 2 previous homes already. She was very nervy and would often cry when things frightened her or even if she didn´t get her own way! Once we got her settled it soon stopped and I am sure it will be the same for Tipsy!

Good Luck!!

Tipsy....what a great name and it certainly suit´s her (LOL).

Yes,they normally do cry for a bit for the first few nights...try giving her a little warm Lactol just before you go to bed and leave her without too much of a fuss (as it were),just say goodnight and good girl and then leave her..do not give into her,as she will keep it up (as you probably already know).

Good luck with her...she sound´s adorable!.

Hello Keira,

Thank you very much for your message and how exciting about the new pup!.

6 weeks old is the minimum age that a youngster should leave their Dam,as they are fully weaned by then normally, although I do know many breeders who won´t let their pup´s leave until they are at least 8-12 weeks old........as long as the pup is fully weaned and eating solids and putting on weight, then it should be OK!.

I´d buy in a tub of Lactol (puppy/kitten powdered milk formula) and mix her up a bowl in the morning, another one at lunchtime and the final one, just before the pup is settled down for the night.....I have used this with all my pups over the years and they´ve done really well on it.

It´s an idea that you may want to try anyhow!.

Good luck and have a great weekend!.
