I adore all animals, and all of our animals are our own rescues, except for my guinea pig Joby Piggy who I found in a pet shop and fell in love instantly with him! As for our Ferrets and Polecats, my husband and I have taken them in for the past ten years now. I hadn't met one up until that point, but Paul had them as a child. They are wonderful creatures, and just like any animal, they all have their own personality and they are so full of character. They live in our small animal shed, inside hutches which Paul made and I spend hours out there with them. Ferrets sleep quite a lot of the time, but they also love to play outside with me and with their individual little gang. We don't breed them, as there are so many needing good, loving homes. We have the hobs castrated when they become adult at around the age of a year, and we have jill jabs for the jills to take them out of season every year in the Spring.
