I have had rabbits and a pony in the past along with tropical fish. I now have the pleasure of four beautiful guinea pigs, 2 are five years old and we have just adopted 2 more - mother and daughter, both born this ear and we love them all to bits. I am trained as a special needs teaching assistant and love helping children of primary school age, especially reception class. Unfortunately, I´ve had to give this up having had a second disc operation but hopefully I´ll be able to return at some point, my piggies are keeping me busy in the meantime. You would be amazed how many children seem to be scared of animals, I think it stems to their own parents´ fears which is a real shame. Keep an eye on their skin, if you notice any sore patches or scurf then it would be a good idea to seek you vets advice, otherwise you should be fine. Cat  03 Nov 2008 13:38 Hi Keren, About uploading different gifts to send too people...you can use any image or animated Gif so long as it has been saved to your computer as a picture.......click send a gift,then click upload......click browse to go to your computer,then select the item that you would like to send to somebody.......click open and once that´s done and the picture/Gif is uploaded into the small grey box on the left..then just click send and that is a new gift !. Thanks, Keren  31 Oct 2008 19:17 Hi again, I don´t put mine out now but this is because my garden just never sees enough sun to dry out the grass, my mum puts hers out if it is a dry day for a little while as the sun is always on her garden and they always have a shelter to go to but that isn´t very often due to the really cold snaps we have had. I try to get mine out for a run in the shed and they are happy with that as long as there is space and a pile of dried grass they are happy.
