Dare i say i have replaced her now with a Royal Python although not the same it has alot of quirks that have gone down well with my housemates. I like pythons anyway especially royals as they´re alot more docile and will happily stay still when being handled. 30 Sep 2008 19:26 Heya again!...Sorry for the delay in my reply! Havnt been around much in the last month. Things are all good with me... We have a new addition in the shape of a Neapolitan Mastiff puppy! We have had her 2 weeks today & she is now 10 weeks old (& alreadly huge!) She´s lovely! I have always really wanted one, so im really REALLY pleased with her! Im sure you will get yourself the perfect puppy when the time is right for you! I always make sure now that its known between myself and my boyfriend, that any dog that I get is "My dog" lol... I dont intend to go though that whole "The dog belongs to me" argument if we ever did end up parting ways in the future lol! Take care & ill talk to ya soon me hopes! :-) 23 Apr 2008 14:06 Hey again! :) Aww your getting a new addition in the shape of a puppy!... What breeds of dogs do you like? Yes going back to the cat & puppy introduction thing... Your cat will most certainly end up in a grumpy mood for a couple of weeks lol (But as I said before, iv never known a cat not to get over it when they realise the grumpyness doesnt get them any attention!)... & your puppy will deffo get a few swipes for over eagerness from time to time lol. I dunno if you have already decided on a breed of pup to have!? but if your still unsure, a really good place to start looking about at is some dog shows... Its a really good place to have a close look at dogs & most breeders or handlers are more than happy to spend time telling you details about the breed they deal with/that you are interested in knowing about, & you can get a real feel for the dogs themselves. I did this when I was trying to decide weather I wanted to get Neo Mastiffs or Shar Pei dogs! :) Bye for now! S.x 19 Apr 2008 12:17 Hi Neil :-) Thats not a nosey question lol...its a good one!... To be honest, I dont see any reason why any cat & dog wouldnt live under the same roof happily. Its mainly all about how we aproach & deal with it as people. The biggest problems you have to overcome when introducing a cat & a dog is their body language!... to a cat, a wagging tail is a sign of aggression (Where as to a dog as we all know, it shows us that the k9 is happy or excited!) & at the first meetings between cat and dog there can be many a 'miscommunication' like this. I had Fellow (Dog) before I went & got Lilli-Puss & Zebastian (Cats) Fellow is a soft soppy doog that loves all creatures, because thats how I taught him to be! So he ment the kittens no harm... Sure they where a little shell shocked to say the least, by this huge black and white beast that wanted to play...but the one thing I didnt do was make a fuss of them when they appeared scared (Thats the worst thing you could ever do lol!)...So they soon just both realised they had to get on with life and a dog and be happy in their new home/family...& thats what they did. Since then I have introduced MANY a dog to cat...even old, set in their ways, grumpy cats, haha! (I used to breed siamese kittens so I had a stud cat & lots of queens that had to get on with my dogs) & as you can see I have a fair few dogs that have to get on with & respect both Lilli-Puss & Zebastian around our home still now. But I will say this... Lilli-Puss is def the animal boss of this house!!! :-P I hope that pretty much answers your question!?! Your animals are lovely...I just had a quick look, but I now have to go & walk my dogs in the rain lol. Take care, S.x :-) 13 Apr 2008 19:46 Well should be studying but its not going to plan to much fun to be had, nothing much to add apart from i recently aquired an emperor scorpion by feeling sorry for it in a absolutly awful pet shop. Although really enjoy having it around well until it decided that it didn't want it water bowl refilling and charged me sting and all lol i thought they were docile :P well it turns out she's probably pregnant so i forgive her for being grouchy, anyway really loving inverts may give a tarantula a try only downside is they only thing i am uncofortable about is spiders..... but i think having one could be gr8 for me. 06 Apr 2008 18:21 i don't know matey i'll give a ring round, you've been away for a long time anythin interestin hapened 07 Feb 2008 20:35 Just seen that you used to have a giant gecko - was that a Madagascan day gecko, and if so, can you give me any advice or tips you have on them ? That's the one animal I really badly want to own ! Once I can afford it, I'll be getting one, and have asked millions of questions in the pet shop already but they're a bit useless, so any info you have on them from first-hand experience would be really good ! thanks, Vik. | My Human Friends 3 Friends You must log in to ask or accept friendship. |
