Meanwhile, just living in a home, and forming close relationships with my two other cats, seems to have completely calmed his bowels! If you are able to find out some more information about any campaigns to prevent the terrible lives and deaths meted out to greyhounds in Spain, then I would like to use the resources of Petstreet to organise support. I can't put the horror of this knowledge out of my mind. I also think your malaria nets idea is brilliant. Is it possible to donate now? i have seven pets, counting the three apple snails in with my goldfish, and £7 seems like a tiny amount to give! I think it actually benefits animals to demonstrate that people who care about them also care about fellow humans. Too often it's seen as a conflict and calls for animal welfare are met with the comment that in the UK people care more about animals than people. Cassie 29 Apr 2007 11:07 It's very interesting to read about your experiences, as a professional man, with the RSPCA. I, and many like me, were involved in the AWB Consultation process and all the frustrations that it involved. Now that secondary legislation is in progress, we view the struggle for animal keeping as only just beginning. We learned in the last couple of weeks that sec leg has been devolved (for economic reasons) to the Welsh & Scottish Assemblies which makes the whole thing even more of a muddle and equally more dificult to keep tabs on. 28 Apr 2007 12:26 Hi Peter - its great to have a vet on PetStreet. We'd love to hear more about your work and your projects (and Daisy of course). | My Human Friends 0 Friends You must log in to ask or accept friendship. |
