Hi I'm pete, my wife and I have rescued two newfoundlands, Yogi and Bela, two very different stories and two very different characters, Yogi was very neglected when he was rescued and took quite a while before he came round but hasn't got a malicious bone in his body, all the kids love him and they call him the lickster, as he likes to be cuddled and licks them to death, Bela on the other hand was no longer loved and we were just going to get her for an assesment on behalf of newfoundland rescue, when she came in she just put her head on my lap, looked up and that was that she's been with us ever scince. we belong to a local group called the NEWForest working dogs and they go swimming every week at a local lake during the summer and learn carting during the winter, Yogi loves to swim and is the fastest swimmer in th group and Bela loves to pull her cart.
