Carol My Pets My Received Gifts My Message Wall  11 Jul 2007 23:13 sorry Carol I meant to say to try and spot not stop some one heading in my direction 11 Jul 2007 23:10 Hi Carol, my dog used to act the same way around people jogging, he would act like something possessed, it took a while to discourage him from doing this but he is alot better now. What I had to do is be very aware of my surroundings and try to stop someone heading in our direction who was jogging before the dog did, then have him on the lead and when he started barking I would give him a very firm jerk on the lead to distract his attention, to try and let him know that its not a problem, I used to take something with me that he really likes and only give it to him or show him it to help take his mind off the person stressing him out.
