I love animals very much they have always played an important part in my life. My favourite of all has to be without doubt the horse, I am known locally as “horsey girl”. I am disabled, I have a condition called hemiplegia and am partially paralysed down the left side of my body, I can walk ok now with the aid of special boots but am unable to use my left hand for holding anything, it is only useful as a prop, but I get by. I live alone with my dad, as my mum died of an aggressive form of breast cancer when I was five, she had been ill on and off ever since I was born. I go horse riding every week with a RDA (riding for the disabled) group in Fulmer, which is about an hour away from where we live, but I love it there so much and the facilities are simply amazing. I have ridden a couple when I was little, but that was only a one off.
