My Interests
My interests are my son who is 12 years old.
My three dogs, Poppy a Greyhound/lurcher Bobby a Field Spaniel and Dottie who is a Cockapoo. I love walking them through the fields near to where I live.
I have always enjoyed travel and am going to climb Mount Etna Volcano in Sicily in Aug 2009.
I love reading and read almost anything that will broaden my general knowledge.
We also have a mouse called Butler, but he is not a happy boy at the moment, he is lonely because his brother Lambert recently passed away.
We are getting a tropical fish tank and I am busy reading up on the subject at the moment.

Hi your pets are beautiful, but especially Dottie - I have a soft spot for cockerpoos as I have 2 myself. Join us on www.doodlemates.proboards.com to meet more poodle crosses and join our meets.

Hi Sue, I have treid many different types of blades / shavers with attachments but none of them wopuld get through their curls. I hope you have more luck than me. The two speed is good for getting through thicker matted hair. 19 mm is quite long especially if the matting is down to dotties skin.
I sympothise with it happening regularly as Im forever grooming my three and the moment they find something unpleasant to role in they do! lol
Hope you get it sorted

thanks for your quick reply John. I was thinking of getting the Andis 19mm, which I think is a #3, to use instead of using attachment combs. Think I will only get a single speed clipper, can´t see the point in a two speed. I had to shave some of Dotties hair where her collar had been, it was matted in to balls. I groom her regularly, but this still happens.(sarah)

Hi Sue, I use the Andis Pro 2 they are very good though oyster are or par. The best blade to use if you want to get the 6 weeks out of Dottie before the next cut is a 7a blade. This provides a nice legnth allowing a little more length on the legs. If you need any tips at all let me know i ll be happy to talk you through the top not, legs etc. Once the basic principles are mastered Poodles are relatively easy to do and good fun! I ll upload some pictures later of mine as i ve recently done the three of them x
