hi all i watched a documentry the other day on big cats tigers lions etc most of which are endangered species it was horrible people were buying these WILD animals for 300 and keeping them as pets natuarly you can take the cat out the jungle but not the jungle out the cat as they say and there were escapes and big cat deaths due to neglect or crulty and a few isolated cases where the wild pets caged for human pleasure turned on the very CHILDREN they were bought for with fatel consiquence and yes theese animals were put down for doing what is natural innate to them (hunting) i think the hole thing is wrong wild animals are not pets no matter what way you look at it so theese animals endangered animals died because they were wild funny that youd think the people that bought them could tell the diffrence between a lion cub and a moggie. anyone else have any views nettie x

06 May 2008 22:40The EditorHi Jen - Welcome to PetStreet. What an amazing collection of spiders. Whats the magic of keeping them for you?

Well i had a fear of them and i decide to rid me of my fear, so i called to a shop where the owner is a friend and he helped me.

I started small by holding a tarantula molt and i was fine so went to the next level by holding a sub adult chilean rose who i fell in love with and brought her home since then when i got her in November 07 i now 28 spider´s consisting of 10 species from very docile to very aggressive and 1 emperor scorpion.
