It did take a lot of work to learn this - we practiced an hour a week for 12 weeks before we did this the first time, and the terrifyingly strict instructor who put this quadrille together also emailed each of an excel spreadsheet of our individual movements to learn. I ended up trotting round my sitting room for hours trying to follow it!! Abigail, a quadrille is any multiple of 4 horse and rider combinations, riding in formation like this, usually to music.
