My blog New fishiesLois and I visited a LFS yesterday as I´d seen some Endlers Livebearers there and I´m told they are a rare find in fish shops but this particular shop always seems to have them. After speaking to the shop owner, I bought 3 males - I tried getting him to sell me 3 for £7 but he wasn´t having any (shucks!) so in the end I paid £2.99 each for them. Anyway, when I got them home and was settling them into our tank...guess what? There was actually 4 babies in the bag with the adult male endlers..hehehe! Now, looking in the tank this morning, I can just see 2 of the little fellas so not sure whether the other 2 are hiding or have been eaten, also no idea whether they are male or female.  Comments  12 Oct 2010 11:54 Just staring into the tank today and guess what there´s actually 3 babies still going strong in there. If they survive they´ll be lots more baby endlers in there in the future as according to my research they are quite prolific. 07 Oct 2010 21:10 2 of the 4 babies are still swimming around and look to be as if they´ve done some growing so fingers crossed they will survive. Member Removed 03 Oct 2010 13:23 That may work, we now have 4 adult goldfish & 5 baby fish which are in a another tank, when the babies are bigger they wil go outside in my fish pond x 03 Oct 2010 11:33 I don´t have another tank to put them in Tina but there´s quite a few plants for them to hide out in so we´ll just have to see how they get on. Member Removed 03 Oct 2010 10:04 Jacqui put the babies in another tank as the adult fish will eat them, we had baby goldfish but the adults eat them all, we have been told to remove any more straight away. xx |
