I apologise for my absence from this site for a while, have been travelling a lot teaching. And now I am writing a new book, my sixth. I think I will take a bit of a writing break after that - how ever I have said that after completing every book !

So far this year I have been to Holland, Belgium, Germany and Jersey. At the end of last year I was in New York, a place I really like, and hope to be back. I spent a day at the Humane Society in New York, giving healing to the cats and dogs there. The people who run the place are wonderful, so caring and empathic.

If you are on facebook please join me there for upto date news.

With increasing numbers of people looking at natural therapies to help their pets, it is very important for therapists etc to remember that in the UK there is a veterinary act. This means that a vet must first be consulted about an animal´s problems, and has to give approval for a non vet to treat an animal - horse, cat, dog , rabbit, bird etc.
Anyone who does not work within the law can be prosecuted by the RCVS.
You can of course give natural therapies to your own pets and horses, but not if it means that the animal suffer because it does not receive veterinary attention.

So the golden rule is - natural therapies are complementary to veterinary advice and care and a vet must give approval for a non vet to treat an animal, that includes healing, animal communciation, massage, hydrotherapy, physiotherapy, chiropractic, cranio sacral therapy, etc. When in doubt ask for veterinary approval.

I have just got back from teaching animal healing in Canada. The Canadians are genuinely friendly and very protective of the wild life in their national parks, far more measures in place than in the UK. I live in the New Forest and there are no protected areas , hence wild life here is under a great deal of stress. In Canada they often close tracks/areas to lessen human impact on wild animals and the situation is carefully monitored.

So what did I see? A female grizzly bear eating wildflowers on a hill side, a female moose and her tiny calf, a male moose with big antlers wandering down a road, elk, mule deer, eagles, hawks, white pelicans, chipmunks, ground squirrels, coyotes, a pine marten, a badger ( they look quite different to our Uk ones) , foxes , hummingbirds and lots of other beautiful birds.

My favourite place on this trip? It´s got to be Lake Louise very early in the morning before the tourists arrived - the water was as still as a mirror with the glacier reflected in it and birds singing in the forest on the mountains. Pure magic.

Met a lovely little dog called Moo last week whilst teaching. He was my demo dog and I knew little about him before I started the consultation. The first thing he communicated was a hurt left paw, then a sore back, and that he felt betrayed by some he had long trusted.

Took Moo a while to settle into the healing as he is a ´ busy´ dog, and likes to be doing something. Then he became sleepy and relaxed, leaning against me. Several big yawns followed and a big stretch.

What I picked up made sense to the owner. Moo´s best doggy pal had suddenly turned on him
( hence Moo feeling betrayed) biting his left paw in several places, and then Moo had taken a tumble off a log pile hence the sore back.

Saw Moo a week later and he was much better, all energy blockages gone - both emotional and physical.

The June copy of ´Your Dog´ magazine arrived in the post this morning and I was delighted to find a four page article about my work. The feature writer had brought her lovely giant schnauzer to me and it was really interesting what happened...as the article reveals!

It´s still pretty manic here reading the proofs for my latest book Angel Pets before it goes on the press next week, all very exciting I must say.

If you missed seeing my piece for Sky HD ´Pet Nation´ you can catch up online via the Sky website. it was great fun to do.

At last I´ve finished the manuscript for my new book ´Angel Pets - incredible true stories of animal miracles.´ It´s published in August.

Just putting the finishing touches to my teaching presentation for New York, and looking forward to meeting the pets and the people who come along to my lecture and workshop.

Spring is around the corner and it´s great to see the birds in our garden nest building, and already there are bees buzzing around too. A badger has been digging in the lawn, last year a female brought her 2 cubs onto the patio, and it was amazing to see them. There is also a Muscovy duck living in next door´s garden, he appeared about a month ago, and often sits on our house roof!

My new book is almost finished, but keep your stories coming in, because I will soon be starting on the sequel.

I would like to hear from you if you have had a telepathic/psychic experience with an animal, or your pet is telepathic. Do you communicate with pets mind to mind? What experience do you have of pets as angels? Has a pet saved your life, or the life of some one you know? Has an angel saved your pets life? Does your pet help people in some way ? Does your pet sense when people are ill or dying? I am also interested in stories about pets that you used to have with these qualities. Finally ...does your pet come back from the afterlife to visit you ?

If you would like to appear in my next book, please get in touch as I would love to hear from you.

Niki Senior, animal communicator member of PetStreet gave me a brilliant story about some wild animals who communicated with her, and I am sure that many of you also have good tales to tell about your own animal experiences.

with many healing blessings

I wish all the PetStreet members a very Happy New Year, and to your pets too.

I have 10 bird feeders on the go to help the wild birds survive this cold weather, plus I put water out every morning, as they can die from lack of a drink even if they have food. Also I have put up extra roosting boxes so that the birds can snuggle in at night. There is a wild rabbit living under our shed, with the hibernating toads, and which enjoys eating the cabbage leaves I put out for it. We have foxes, badgers and deer coming for food too.

I have been mostly housebound for a couple of weeks, living on an ungritted hill in the New Forest, but have been on some great walks; it all looks very pretty. The New Forest ponies have resorted to eating the gorse bushes. and have very thick coats to help keep them protected from this exceptionally cold weather.

My latest book is nearly complete, and my other news is that at the end of March I am off to New York´s Open Center to teach animal healing . It has been a huge honour to be invited to do this and I look forward very much to meeting some of the city´s pets. Already a dog that does TV work is booked in to the workshop, and I am also going to be working with some pets for a well known New York holistic vet.

It will be a busy year for me as most months I will be teaching in a different overseas place, including Dublin in April, Berlin in May, Seattle USA in June , Canada in July, Switzerland in October and either Florida or California in November. Then in 2011 back to New Zealand and on to Australia. In between I will be working with clients in the UK as well as running some workshops here.

Sending many healing blessings to you and your lovely pets

For my new book ´Heart to Heart - soul conversations with pets ´ I have several stories of cats that have warned their owners about something disastrous about to happen. Does anyone have a dog story? It must be about something that was about to happen, that showed that the dog was having a premontion ... and how that saved you from injury or death.

thank you

I am busy writing my new book about telepathy and pets so if you have any stories, anecdotes or insights I would love to hear them.

I have been looking after five sheltie dogs, four girls and a boy and what fun they have been. All different characters to deal with, each one delightful. Very bright too, as they are collie types. Keep my on my toes!

For my new book I am looking for a photo of a dog or cat, with a foal, horse or donkey. Quality must be absolutely perfect focus and a large digital file for repro in a book....

I have been asked to write another book, this time on communicating with pets. I am interested in hearing from anyone who has a story about sixth sense experiences with cats and dogs.

Does your pet speak to you mind to mind, how does that work for you? Do you have a pyschic dog or cat who knows things that defy logic? Has a dog or cat helped you in your life through communicating with you? Have you been able to tell a vet what was wrong, because your pet gave you the information ? Do you have dogs or cats who ´ know ´ things about each other as well as the humans in the house? All stories welcome and you may find yourself quoted in my new book!

Please email me at margrithealer@hotmail.com

I have started the New Year by listening to the music for my new CD and which is
called ´ Connecting with Animals - music to share with your four legged friends´.

It´s very calming and soothing, just what we need in these troubling times. My favourite track is called Friends for Life. The specialist company New World Music will be releasing it in the spring of 2009.

I have seen some wonderful pets and horses recently. More and more people are turning to using healing energy as a way of not only connecting with their pets, but to help them. It´s something that anyone can have a go at and my books guide you through the process . Reaching out to our spirituality and making sense of it through healing, is something that we can do through healing .

I often work with dogs and cats suffering from cancer. One dog was given seven months to live and with regular healing is still going strong 3 years later. Healing helps to boost the immune system and to help with pain relief alongside medication. Healing is also thought to destroy cancer cells, but I never make a promise of a cure. Each case is individual and there are many variables such as age and the condition.

It is important with cancer to address the diet, as cancers can be related to junk pet food with additives etc. Consult a holistic vet for advice www.BAHVS.co.uk.

Next month I am off to Northern Ireland to give a talk and demonstration for the British Horse Society, then in December I am lecturing in Glasgow at the University, on the topic of animal healing.

It´s been a busy summer for me. I went to Montana in June for a Horse experts week. What an awesome place it is. Huge snow capped mountains and wide plains with big rivers. The weather was hot but with cold nights. I saw lots of wildlife and of course cowboys!

Then when I came back I gave the talk at Waterstones in Salisbury , and 63 people came to listen to it. I was very touched by the effort that people had made to come along to the store. It was great to chat to everyone about their pets and horses. I thoroughly enjoyed the evening.

In August I went to Germany to look at a facility from where I can run my European courses in 2009. I will be launching the German version of my first book ´Healing for Horses´ next March at Equitana in Essen. I have been told that it is a great place to visit if you are interested in horses.

In the past couple of weeks I have been asked to do a new CD, Animal Healing volume 2, so am working on the booklet for that. It will cover the topic of communicating with pets.

And of course I have had the pleasure of spending time with lots of beautiful dogs, cats and horses!

It's out today.... my new book Connecting with Horses - the life lessons we can learn from horses, and already selling very well.
I did 12 radio interviews about the book yesterday, for radio stations all around the country. I went into the BBC studio in Salisbury to do this, and all the presenters contacted me there. It was great fun, though at one point my voice gave out and I coughed loudly on air. It makes me realise just how skilled full time presenters are.
I've been away in New Zealand for the best part of a month, on holiday and doing some media interviews. It was a lot warmer there as it's summer, but it's good to be back home working with the animals again.

My new book is now for sale on Amazon. It's called 'Connecting with horses - the life lessons we can learn from horses.'
It was great fun writing it and I met a lot of new people, and horses, too.
My book Healing for Horses is going to be translated into German . So a lot has happened already and it's still January!.
Yesterday I did a radio interview for New Zealand over the telephone from my office. Animals bring like minded people together from all around the world and that's great!.

I have just finished my new book Connecting with Horses , and can now concentrate fully on my healing treatments again.

Last week, a small bird ( a blackcap) flew into one of our windows and it lay on the ground motionless and floppy. I held it in my hands and could feel pulsing and tingling coming from the bird. I knew it was touch and go whether it lived. I prayed that if it was possible that the bird should live, as it was one of this years fledglings and not very old. I held it for several minutes. The pulsing stopped, I opened my hands, the bird stretched it's wings... and flew away. Success ! The power of healing is truly awesome.

I'm working with several dogs with cancer at the moment and doing a lot of distant healing too.  Lots of horses to see of course too.

Today as I was giving healing to a horse we were joined by a chorus of animal sounds. Swallows were singing their heads off , having just arrived back from Africa, a dog came to watch and started howling, and then a cockeral wandered in and did his 'cock a doodle do' bit . It was wonderful to the surrounded by all these animals making their noises...far better than any pop music!

Healing energy can be very powerful and allows sixth sense communication to take place.
Am treating a dog given a few months to live who is now doing very well over a year later  ( he is still a working dog so that shows how much energy he has) . Also healing is very good as a method of boosting pain relief ( to enhance the medication from a vet). Some people have mentioned to me that their healing teachers have told them not to give healing when an animal is on medication as it will make the drug effects stronger. I don't where this information has come from, but it is not true.
Look, I have been healing animals for many years, have given healing during operations and to animals on life support in vet hospitals, and with success. The universal source of healing knows that we want to help the animal on whatever level is possible - healing cannot do any harm. Our intent must be very focussed on offering the animal love. Not to offer healing when the animal has a great need, because of this false information, means that animal is missing out on vital help. Never of course give healing instead of going to the vets for advice.

I am seeing too many rabbits suffering from joint disorders due to lack of exericise. In a nutshell all rabbits need to run around and play. Hutches must never ever be where a rabbit spends most of it's time. Cruel beyond belief.
A lady asked me for advice on treating her sick African Grey parrot , whose sinus problems are chronic, and the vet cannot stop it. Basically as the bird lives in a cage, no room to fly around, and has no friends this is a problem caused by stress and depression. Nothing is going to help any animal denied a natural lifestyle. The woman was not pleased when I told her 'if you want something to look at in a cage get a soft toy animal, not a real live creature'. The truth hurts! I feel desparately sorry for the parrot and hope that this woman, and thousands of people like her see sense and give birds a better life.

Yesterday went on a workshop where horses are used to coach business people. Very interesting to see the response of people who had never been so close to these big animals before. One ex banker said what he learnt was that horses are very intuitive and he found he could speak to them mind to mind. That really blew him over! When he was relaxed inside the horses followed him, when he had negative thoughts they moved away.
The rest of my week is taken up giving healing to dogs and a cat, and at the weekend more horses.

I am pleased to notice that the 's' word is being written about more and more in publications regarding animals...'soul' and 'spiritual' . About time! Ten years ago when I wrote my first book it was a big thing to say, and I got a some flak about it, but now it's becoming commonplace...great. Animals have souls and they are spiritual beings!

It's been a good week. I have helped three racehorse with various problems, and a mare and foal.
Gave healing to an old dog on Wednesday just before he sadly had to be put to sleep. He was very peaceful after the session and it helped the owner to know that everything possible was done for him.
Spring is in the air and my two cats have become obsessed with marking the garden , I guess the winter erodes their scent. They are very good fun to be with, and give me healing when I get down in the dumps over writing my new book. A cup of peppermint tea and a cuddle with my cat is just what the doctor ordered!

It's been an interesting few days meeting people in the horse world and talking about various aspects for my new book. I have had writers block for a while but now back into the swing of things. I have to finish the book by June and cannot take time out of my normal wroking week, helping animals with healing communication. So no social life for a while!

It's been a busy start to the week. I was called to an animal hospital to give healing to a dog with spinal trauma. The vets are willing to add everything to the care package to help this badly injured dog. It's great to be working as part of a team.

I have also been chatting to a horse about why he is depressed...I was told that he had become lethargic and unsociable but with no obvious reason, turned out he is not depressed but suffering from headaches so I have put the owner in touch with the right people to help.

A favourite dog client, Tom, is visiting tomorrow for monthly healing top up for his cancer...it's helping because he is still doing agility and obedience work.Tom always has a lot to tell me, sometimes to the embarrassment of his owner!
..and then onto visit a cat who has a chest infection , she is on medication but the owner would like as much help as possible.

My days are always varied and full of interest. What a wonderful job it is working with animals. I have several great vet friends who are holistic in their approach and who refer animals to me

It's 9.30 am and I am getting ready to go and see a pony called Timi. The owner has got him from an animal rescue as a companion for her other pony Jazz ( also rescued). Jazz has been grieving for his old friend Bluey who sadly was put to sleep a month ago due to age related problems. Timi arrived two days ago and Jazz is a lot happier, but still stressy. I have treated a lot of animals for grief and healing is execellent for helping them let go. It will be interesting to see what the ponies have to say to me.

Sasha the siamese cat is still doing very well. She has a tumour on her nose and was not expected to live past Christmas ( 2006). But the vet is happy that she is pain free, and still has a good quality of life . She eats well and plays with her toys.

Tom the retriever is also continuing to do well despite having cancer. Over a year has gone by since the diagnosis but he is fit and well enough to take part in agility and obedience competitions. He is a wonderful, funny, happy, dog. Tom is monitored by his vet but not on any conventional medication. The vet said to the owner at the last visit 'whatever you are doing carry on'.

Saturday I have been asked to talk to a cat who attacks everything she comes across ( other animals not people)...it will be interesting to hear her viewpoint.

Later today I am discussing plans for more radio interviews about my CD's of music for pets.Lots more in the pipeline including for the US.

...over breakfast I have made some notes for my new book..its about how horses help and heal people, and tonight going to a lecture about the use of horses to help children overcome disabilities. It's all very interesting.
