What is your cat´s rescue story?

I took on my sister´s cat (Bugs) when she moved away, then my Nan´s cat (Lucy) when my Nan died. After my Nan´s cat died I was asked by our vet to take on Lucy Too (see her story on the Threeleggers group). When dear Bugs had to be put to slepp in October I went looking for kittens. I wanted to go to one of the rescues because there are far too many unwanted cats and kittens in the world. I happened to be talking to someone who recommended I try Pussycat Lodge Trust. I contacted them and was put in touch with their ´kitten´ lady (I was looking for a pair of kittens as I was going to be working pretty much full time and wanted to be sure they had sufficient company). Then I went to visit and fell in love with all three kittens. I couldn´t decide which one to leave behind so I took all three. I haven´t regretted it for a moment. Milo, Josh & Harry will be a year old next month.

Lenny came to us on 5th June 2008, as a companion cat for Harry. He came from Colchester Cat Rescue and I found him by looking on their website and also www.catchat.org which is a brilliant website which allowes you to search the rescues and shelters in your region. Lenny has wonderful manners and fitted right in with the rest of my cats. He is very shy of people but he is getting more relaxed around me every day.
