I saw it and was F***ing livid....... .

Their attitude stank to high heaven and that female PC made my temper fume and blood boil through and through..

I kind of new that the cornered Staffie (NOT PB NOR TYPE) would be put to sleep...but please note did anybody else see the tattoo that was imprinted on his inner left thigh (I DID) which meant they should have been able to have traced his owners and it also meant that he was more than likely already registered on the ´Index of Exemption´ .

As for Zeus.....his Asian owner clearly didn´t want the hassle of the dog once he was seized....he just walked out of the park and said to that vile WPC "Take him,just take him..I don´t want no trouble".

Then he pretended to come back and asked to say goodbye to his dog and tried to let the dog go by unclipping his lead .....that did not go down too well and his attempt failed anyhow.

Zeus would more than likely have been alive IF his owner had bothered to fight for him as he was a friendly dog with no problems (other than being what he was ).....BUT the F***er never got back in touch with the Police and so his dog was PTS because of that.

He´s probably gone out and got another one now .

So these Cops get £20,000 per dog they catch,a healthy,happy animal DIES because it look´s like it does and the f***ing owners GET AWAY WITH IT............
GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR...give me bloody strength!.

That´s it..........I´m NOT watching that programme ever again after last night and told my partner that also! .

We need Section 1 of the DDA scrapped,MORE emphasis and TOUGHER fines and prison sentences for those that misuse such dogs for fighting or as weapons and people that have some compassion in them to work,dealing with these animals.....I have lost all respect for Met Police & their so called ´Dangerous Dog Unit´ since that programme (to be honest I NEVER liked them anyway as they are innocent dog killers).

We call ourselves a nation of animal (dog) lovers YET turn the blind eye to thousands of dog´s PTS all because of breed racism and prejudice..which was all thank´s to the stupid Governments knee jerk reaction to public outcry and hysteria back in 1991.

IF any of you on this discussion haven´t done so already,please feel free to join up my group ´So Is Your Breed Safe ??´ and add your name and voice to trying to get the Section 1 of the DDA scrapped and help save many many more dogs dying purely on their looks and all thank´s to stupid,naive,ignorant and irresponsible owners.

that when pit bulls are on tv they only show them in london ??
pit bulls are all over the uk yet you only ever see them in london on tv

I have been onto my local police and my MP and told them where dog fighting is being held in the Lambeth area but they take so long to do anything.
That women on that prog was heartless and that dog was harmless. He was just excitable and wanted to play that dog didnt bark once. I to be honest he didnt look dangerous and didnt look like a PB, but thats just my opinion.

Surely all the dog handlers should be trained for that sort of thing, i think they should let those who havent been hurt or made agressive yet be placed in controlled homes with people who have experience of pit bulls instead of putting them to sleep.

She didn´t seem to have any feeling for that dog at all, i bet there were some people who rang up to complain about her attitude Noo´s, i ask myself was she really a dog lover or was it just a "job" to her, she showed no remorse whatsoever x

I agree was watching that programme last night called send in the dogs on itv and was really upset they had to be pts especially the brown one as you could see he was loving not agressive and the police officer had no remorse about it she even said it even if i knew it was the right thing i´d still feel bad!

Well some of them take videos of the "fights" dont they? and store them, well they do according to a TV programme i saw not so long ago. But i agree if they can pay "smoking police" then surely they could fund a unit to monitor the thugs who are likely to fight their dogs xx

totally they are a annoying waist of space, if money can be found for the smoking police i m sure they could set up some prog where they can set up wardens to stop the fights they must have a pretty good idea where they are held xxx

Thats right Noo´s that is how i´d go about it, it´s these ones who go in for fighting the dogs that need the harsh treatment xx

getting rid of bsl would be a start then targeing the owners ( the bad ones )
and stopping dog fights reward the good owners and punish the bad

i agree carolann. owners could b registerd and veted, that way these breeds dont dye out and and they dont end up in the wrong peoples hands

hi guys in my opinion pit bulls are just another breed the trouble is i saw a prog the other night were these thugs were kicking it in the head to make it fight.. would it not work if they were registered to owners and vet d .. i dont know lol all i know is its the dogs that suffer not the owners.. i know a few people who own pit s and they are very responsable and there woofs are like pussy cats xxx

I generally have a lot of respect for the police, but that officers attitude was terrible! her "it´s a pit bull so it´ll be pts" attitude disgusted me, I agree that pit bull dogs often end up with thugs who just want to use them for fighting, but that just confirms what i have always said in that there are no bad dogs just bad owners, so why take the dogs away? why not deal with the owners first? xx

wonder why the owner didnt come back to claim it, can only presume he thought he´d b in trouble or he didnt really care about the dog

did anybody see the programme on TV last night about police dogs? they took a suspected pit bull away, i don´t know if anyone will agree with me, but as far as i could see the dog wasn´t really doing any harm his only "crime" was that he was a pit bull!
