*Recently Read & Recommended*

Ok....I thought that the Club could do with a refresher post, so here goes:

What have you recently read, enjoyed and therefore can recommend.

I have recently completed ´Alice Sebolds - The Lovely Bones´.....the story of a 14 year old girl who was tragically raped and murdered by a neighbour and who himself was never brought to Justice for this crime and many other s before hand.

I wanted to watch the film when it was released as it looked really good but was recommended by a friend to read the book FIRST......this I did, and I am glad that I did, because it helped me greatly understand the story as it unfolded throughout the film and although the film was slightly edited from the actual book (as normal) it still remained a very moving and touching motion picture and make´s for a must see too.

Based on a true story....I thoroughly recommend both the novel and the film too to anybody!.

A Stephen King anthology "Different Seasons".
It has the short stories "Apt Pupil" (about a young boy who discovers a Nazi war criminal living nearby - a chilling film,too.. ) and "The Body" (made into the brilliant film "Stand By Me").
