rat harnesses

Does anyone agree in using rat harnesses? or disagree? To be honest I am not really sure what to think of them, as all my rats have an hour free range a day, so I do not have any use of a harness, and I wouldn´t like to take them outside as i am scared They would Chew through it and i would lose them! x

I wear a harness whenever I go out and I view it as freeing rather than restricting. But you must make sure your little rats couldn´t chew through it by wearing it at home first and getting them used to it. Make it a special thing where they get a favorite treat or something so they look forward to the harness.
