Contestants may gain awards/prizes for the depth or creativity of their holes, or for the costumes they wear while digging. The main prize is a "Golden Shovel". I think I´ve heard of bog-snorkelling, which is peculiar to the UK, and I think there´s a World Championship!!! Can´t imagine anything I´d like to do less that swim around in cold, probably muddy water! |
