THE DOGS HOME

Both our dog & cat came from rescue homes, Shad [ dog ] was born in 1, after his pregnant Mother was taken in there, there were 4 pups in diferent cages , 2 wouldnt come near the front of their cage, so we couldnt see what they were like, 1 we didnt know about [ he must have been out of his cage,] then we saw our Shado. My elder son had taken my friend & I up for a visit to the home after she broke her foot & couldnt get out. Both son & I said ´ Weve got to have him´ but it was down to my yonget son who was at work. Fortunately he also fell in love, Weve had Shado for 8 1/2 yrs. He was called a GSD x but he seems to have a lot of Doberman in him. Lucy our cat came from a different home a yr. later, she was about 1 yr. old.Her family moved away after a fire to their home & left her behind, poor little girl, still they both hav lots of tlc.

We got our Berry from dogs home when she was 6 weeks old, only her and her brother left out of litter. Unfortunately we couldn´t afford to get both. Berry is 5 yr old now and believes she is anything but a dog, haha! so loving and gentle but lets strangers know not to mess with the family.

i resued both my english springers from bad breeders they are beautiful dogs x

hi ive just got my rotti from a rescue center the ppl there were rele nice they really looked after blake fair enought he was really skinny but that was due to kennel stress i cant falt them it depends on where u go and get them from. the staff were in tears when we took blake away he is even better now a fattening up fast just because u have had one bad experiance dont mean they are all bad.

We took harvey on his very first holiday we got back yesterday we all enjoyed it but harvey more so he couldnt keep still we went to the beach most days and what a water baby harvey is everyone had said to me that he wouldnt like the sea but i couldnt get him out of it the only problem was that he kept wanting to go further and further out ech time so i had to keep a close eye on him at all times i didnt fancy swimming out to get him obviously i would have if needed but i really didnt fancy it haha.

My comments I have decided to start this club because when i got my dog harvey from a dogs home he was quite poorly i was very worried that he wouldnt survive luckily he did and is fine now also he was in a kennel outside at the age of 6 weeks when i got him home he kept making a terrilble choking sound like there was something stuck in his throat i took him to the vet he was treated and i have not had a problem with him since his health is great part of the problem with harvey is that his mother refused to feed him her milk when he was tiny and ha had to be hand reared he is now a very healthy happy little dog Anyhow i hope you find this club useful but please bear in mind that this computer stuff is all new to me and im learning through experiance lol.
