Heh, thank you for your comments, I did´nt feel brave or clever on that day just angry ,then a bit shaky, an after I burst into tears on my way home, stupid really just relief that the Lab was OK. That is all I could think of the dog,even tho people gave me strange looks I remembered my friends here on PSt´ and having you all behind me, as some of the people who walked past where my ex work mates. lol J x (I would do it different nxt time as I have cards printed with information about the heat inside a car and how a dog(animal child) quickly they could die. I know it is after a happy outcome only or if I see someone about to leave a animal in a car on a hot day).lol xj

Well done June you handled the situation very well, shame the police didn´t come out and do something to help you.

You did good afraid i think i would have ended up being aggressive back to the owner if he swore and throw the water back at me. It does pay to keep your head in sitations like this

I will moan for the UK on one subject..dogs in cars, ´yet again´ an idiot not only went for a coffee for 5mins(and was gone for at least 20min)A lab shut in the boot with the lead shut in the lid so that it could not jump over the seats, but neither could it move much, as bags an boxes in the boot too. The windows where open about 2inches but the heat outside was about 75o so imagine the inside. this was a main street in L´pool. I was on the other side of the road and heard the barking an scrambling at the window,I ran over and went into a few shops to find the owner an no luck, then I threw my jacket over the window, many people walking past ignoring me an the very distressed dog. a lady came out of one of the shops an said call the RSPCA..as you may know they don´t fly out, I rang the police to get the number. a firend of mine got some water to squirt thro´ the window, The dog had calmed down, so was not panting so much. I got some passer-by to ask in shops again, then the owner turned up. He lost his temper an people walked away, I ask him to give the dog water pls!!!he threw it at me and told me to f*** off, mind my own business. I stayed an convinced him to keep the water and he apologised an took the water ´thankfully´.most people had wlked passed frightened of confronting a terrible wrong´I reacted´ as a true ´petstreeter´.you have all given me the extra courage to confront. Thank you..lol x
