BITING FERRETS.
Ferrets bite, for a reason either they've not been handled enough, from a young age, been badly handled, abused, or they are nervous.
people have different ways of stopping them biting, but l found this method worked best for me.
Get a mug or fairly deep container, put something tasty in the bottom, like a little butter or part of a beaten egg, let the ferret reach down to lick it, while its head (and teeth) are safely in the mug gently stroke his back and talk to him, so that he realises hands and voice mean something pleasant . Do NOT use something to tasty, like ferretone or ice cream, as this can provoke possessiveness, repeat about an hour later each time a little longer, within a week or so you should have an aggressive free ferret.

Hi All ~ I just found this ferret group, dook, dook! I have 21 ferrets, both hobs and jills, and of all colours too. My husband, Paul and I have rescued ferrets for ten years now, and we have learnt so much about these fascinating and funny little creatures during that time. We always say "there's always room for one more" regarding our fur babies. We don't breed ferrets or any other animals for that matter, because there are so very many animals waiting for good, loving homes. Anyone can take a baby animal, and treat it as they want to, and this is where Pet Shops fail. I cannot stand any kind of cruelty to any living creature, and last year I reported a Pet Shop in a Market, as there was a poor little baby rabbit dying in front of my eyes, and in full view of the customers! I got the Pet Shop officially closed down, after I contacted the RSPCA and their inspector went in, under cover. It took quite a while to do it, but I will never give up in such circumstances, and I would do it all over again. I look forward to meeting you all here, and all three of you are my friends already on PetStreet! I hope that we can find some more members to join us here too. Love Janet and The Menagerie x
