Yesterday took boys on heath and there was some sort of even going on at the cafe. Joshua took off after a little spaniel, got himself into the crowd, and I couldn´t find him anywhere. Ferdie, of course, followed me; he wouldn´t stay with my friend, and I am walking through these crowds, Ferdie next to me, asking everyone if they had seen another dog the same as this one. Very loud music, which Ferdie hates, but he wasn´t leaving his mum. Eventually some lady told me he had gone off back toward the car. What a relief!

Hi folks
Joined petstreet today after being recommended by a friend. Pleased to say we share our home with a BMD. Dillon is four years old and a gentle giant. He´s such a big softie. It´s just like having a huge teddy bear to cuddle.
Looking forward to being part of petstreet...

Oh margaret Im excited for you going to see the puupies let me know how it goes.
no Heidi didnt flatten me with her feet on my shoulders, you tend to know when shes ready to do something crazy and get your footing ready so she cant knock you down, although in the first year we had her me and Kieran had a couple of trips (each) to the hospital through her clumsyness. And she did drag me over the main road on my belly in windermere, and across a field on my bum at the Sunderland Air Show HEHE. That was why we bought the Dogmatic Leather head collar, see for all she done the training classes and walks like a dream with you when the sun is out you cant walk her without she tries to chase her shadow, daft sod runs for miles. I measured her waist yesterday (cause I could never convince myself there were puppies in there) I measured it a week after the matings and it was 35inch yesterday it is 39inch, I avoid her sitting on my knee for a while. haha

Those are great stories, Debbie. Dogs are so intelligent. Didn´t she knock you flat, though, when she landed on your shoulders? When my grandson was a baby and living with us, whenever he cried my cat, Bonnie, would tear into the bedroom, jump in the crib and pat his shoulder! Of course, I couldn´t let her stay there as cats can smother babies, but I thought that was great. Now they are both seventeen and she still loves him. I have never heard Ferdie growl, it is not something newfies do. He kept Ian away from Max by batting him with his bum so he couldn´t get passed. I always feel safe out with him. I have been invited to go and see my new puppy at the weekend. I wasn´t sure whether I would get one from this litter because they only had two dogs, and four bitches. I really don´t want a bitch, with all due respect to Heidi, as I have never had one and they sound like lots of trouble with all those seasons and things! I am still looking for a name for him, though, if anyone has any suggestions?
