Another x-breed question for you. I have two poodle x cocker spaniels, and for the most part have had positive comments made about them. But why do some people (lately I´ve had it from one poodle owner and one cocker spaniel owner) think it´s ok to tell you that your dog is ´poor´ or ´unfortunate´ to be a crossbreed? It´s downright rude and people wouldn´t be so forward in other aspects of our lives, so why our dogs?
The ridiculous thing about the latest woman was that she said they are ok if they are mistakes but she doesn´t agree with planned cross breeding. So this woman claims to be a dog-lover yet says that an ´accident´ is better than a planned breeding between two health tested parents? Not quite sure where she got that logic from!

Re aggression - I think it´s definitley down to the owners and training rather than the dogs themselves. A dog trainer I know took on a GSD that was about to be PTS for aggression issues. She worked with her for a long time and she is now a great dog, will do anything for her owner and they compete at heelwork to music. Sadly I don´t ever think you can completely rehabilitate a dog that has been taught these behaviours but they can be managed if you know what you are doing.

Hi I am Lynn and I have a 15 month old labradoodle called Biddy. She is a very gentle dog with a very loud bark, which sometimes other people think is aggressive. She often barks when she wants to warn us of something or if she sees another dog because she wants to play.

I think all breeds have the ability to be aggressive, its the particular dog and nothing to do with the breed - i have always owned Rottweilers (until we recently re-homed a black and tan cross) and people presume that they are aggressive because of media hype but they are just our pets!, i used to work in kennels and i was bitten more times than i would care to remember by little cute dogs as some owners feel that they do not need to set boundaries for them as they are soo cute and little and they become monsters, dogs need to know boundaries otherwise any dog will develop behaviour problems regardless of their heritage!

Actually i think you are wrong.
I think its all in the owner rather than the breeding. I think if your dog has any type of aggression issues that lies with you not the breeding.
My advice would be to Socialise and get some training done.

Cross breeds are very funny animals not like pedigree pets I have a German shepherd x staff the german shepherd part of our dog is disciplined and trust worthy, When our dog frowns thats the staff in him so its back on the leash until he changes his attitude . Like all dogs should not be left with children. please visit our website and put our scheme in your park, www.taggersuk.com and tell all your trusted friends.
