Laura your boys sound as if they are great fun, I am afraid I live in the south and all the Pug meets I know are to far for you to cometo, there is one in London and one in Essex, you could try putting pug meets in the north in google and see. Do any of you belong to the Pug club? it´s well worth joining and is for the family pet just as much as the show dog, 24 Jul 2009 11:32 Hi, I´m new to the Pug club but have 2 puggy boys - Garth and Louis who are fabulous fun!!! They are borthers that we´ve since pups and are two now :o) I really wanted to find out if there are any pug commuinities or anything to have the boys interacted more with other pugs but it´s proving difficult on line. does nayone have any suggestion for this? We are based in Newcastle Upon Tyne :o) 28 Jun 2009 15:26 Hello pug fans We have had Oscar for nearly six months now, he is the first dog our family has ever had! But he has brought us so much joy and entertainment, not to mention a new level of patience when it comes to house training. We decided to buy a dog for my little brother Charlie who suffers from severe dylexia and causes him alot of stress. We were adivsed that pets (especially dogs) can elavate stress in Children and thats where Oscar came in. He is the sweetest thing and has made Charlie a much happier little boy! (As well as me!) Pugs are such clever, comical little things and I´m glad to see there are people who love them as much as me! mwah x x x 04 May 2009 10:29 Welcome to both May and Mary and your pugs of course, the reason I have been a while getting this wecome to you is that I was poorly so off line for a while, am fine again now and back with you all, Piggy looks a dear one of my gang Chloe has also lost an eye, it never bothered her at all, even when her eye was about to burst and the pain intence she never complained bless her and the tail was still wagging as she went under the anathetic, the fist thing she did when she came round after surgery was wag her tail, pugs are just so stoic and treat everything as a laugh, you mentioned pugs snoreing can you imagine how my six snore?, of an evening all seven of us sit int front of the tv on the sofa, as each one drops off to sleep I have to keep turning up the volume!!!!. Patsy sounds a dear as well, having been in the veterinary profession and rescu my pugs were used to all sorts of waifs and strays coming into the home and made every one welcome. 28 Mar 2009 22:42 Hi Patricia I´m the proud owner of a fawn pug called Piggy she was born with brain damage and i took her on. She´s great wee thing she´s a lot of work and not all ways clean in the house even tho the back door is open 24 hrs a day. She some times gets confused but that is some thing which she cant help and i knew this when i took her on. She all so has little seizures every now and then she lost her left eye because of glaucoma. She never lets things get her down she´s such a happy wee soul and gets on great with my owner pets half the time i don´t think she releases there are other animals around because she´s on her own wee planet some of the time. I love it when she sleeps because she snores so loud you can even hear her from the far end of the hall way.Pugs are not ugly they are so lovable and loyal. Even tho she keeps me on my toes and so times is a lot of work id never ever get rid of her. I love her to bits she´s my special needs baby. 06 Oct 2008 09:48 Patsy Pug and I have joined your club. I know Pugs are not every-ones cup of tea but a nicer natured dog would be very hard to find. Patsy has accepted all the waifs and strays that I have found so nicely. Look at her cuddling up to Flora Poodle and Amber the Yorkie. | Club Members Our Pictures Our Films |
